Abstract:

This paper points out that food safety has become a hotspot in the world firstly. Based on the challenges which food safety management departments faces in the newly century, the development of food safety management and sci-tech, were systemically summarized and analyzed in this paper. And also it＇s importance in establishing, strengthening or improving national food safety system was emphasizes, it points out that the scientific food safety system which based on risk analysis and scientific assessment has basicly come into being. It suggests that government must reform food management agencies,implement national food safety strategy and establish a national comprehensive, continous and effective food safety management system. The paper also illustrates the importance to build an effectual food safety alert and emergency system, which faces with global food safety urgent incidents and public health, and it also need to strengthen public education and preserve consumer＇s confidence in food safety.
