Abstract:

The water shortage is a worldwide problem. China is one of the country with more serious prob-lems on water lacking. This paper reviews the seriousness of the problem on water resources, the main rea-sons that causing the water shortage and pointed out that there is a great potential on water-saving irrigationin agriculture. The researches, development, application and dissemination of water-saving irrigation tech-nique should be enhanced and the extending of water-saving irrigation technique must be taken as a revolu-tionary countermeasure.

水资源短缺问题是一个全球性问题.我国是世界上水资源严重匮乏的国家之一.本文论述了我国水资源问题的严重性、导致水资源紧张的主要原因,同时指出农业节水灌溉潜力很大,应加强研究、开发、应用和普及节水灌溉技术,“把推广节水灌溉作为一项革命性措施来抓”.
