Application Progress of Metabolomics in Rice Research

摘要: 代谢组学是系统生物学重要的分支,通过对小分子代谢物的研究来揭示生命体的生理状态,进而探索生命活动的规律。对代谢组学进行了简单概述,介绍了代谢组学常用的分析平台,综述了代谢组学在水稻响应非生物和生物胁迫、基因功能、辅助育种及转基因安全研究中的应用现状,并就存在的挑战和机遇进行了分析,以期为代谢组学应用于水稻研究提供参考。

Abstract: Metabolomics is an important branch of system biology, which reveals the physiological state of the organisms through the study of small molecule metabolites of them, and then explores the principle of life activities. In this paper, metabolomics and its common analysis platform were simply summaried. Applications of metabolomics to rice research were reviewed in terms of abiotic and biotic stress, gene function analysis, assistant breeding and safety assessment of transgenosis, and then challenges and opportunities which existed in metabolomics research were analyzed, which was expected to provide a reference for using metabolomics in rice research.
