棉花重要数量性状基因定位研究进展

摘要:

棉花是重要的经济作物,是天然纤维的主要来源之一,也是优质蛋白和食用油的潜在资源。通过各种分子标记技术和数量性状基因(quantitative trait loci, QTL)的定位方法将控制棉花数量性状的基因定位到相应的遗传连锁图谱或染色体上,为研究棉花诸多QTL的图位克隆、抗性机制的遗传揭示、分子标记辅助选择(molecular marker-assisted selection, MAS)、有利基因的定向转移及基因聚合育种等奠定了坚实的基础。综述了近年来棉花重要QTLs定位研究的最新进展,并对研究中存在的主要问题进行了分析和展望。

Abstract:

Cotton is an important cash crop, which is not only one of the main natural fiber resources, but also a potential resource of high-quality protein and edible oil. Genes controlling cotton quantitative traits can be mapped onto relevant genetic linkage map or chromosome by all kinds of molecular marker technologies and methods of quantitative trait loci (QTLs) mapping. It provides a solid foundation for map-based cloning, resistance mechanisms understanding, molecular marker-assisted selection (MAS), gene transfer and pyramiding breeding. This paper summarizes the progress made in gene mapping, conferring important cotton quantitative traits in recent years; analyzes and prospects the major problems existing in research.
