Abstract:

The target characters, such as insect resistance, disease tolerance, stress resistance, quality improvement, herbicide tolerance, were acquired via transferring exogenous gene. And transgenic cotton varieties and hybrid varieties harboring above target characters have been applied in cotton production. This paper summarized the advances of research on the target characters of transgenic cotton in China, and some utilization methods of transgenic cotton were brought forward according to the heredity rules of characters of genetic transformation.
