Effects of Hyper-gravity on Physiological and Biochemical Indices of Tomato Seedlings

超重力处理对番茄幼苗生长和理化指标的影响

Abstract:

Taking tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill) seeds as plant material, this experiment determined the seed germination rate and index, chlorophyll content, root activity, catalase activity (CAT), peroxidase activity (POD), malondialdehyde (MDA) and proline content, and compared the results with those of the control, after they were treated with 1 000×g, 1 500×g, 2 000×g for 1, 2, 3 hours. The results showed that both germination rate and germination index decreased after hyper-gravity treatment, while the root activity, CAT and POD all rose, but the MDA content decreased. And the chlorophyll content increased after tomato leaf blades were treated with 1 000×g, 1 500×g for 1 hour and 1500×g for 2 hours. The free proline content of tomato seedlings increased, except they were treatment with 2 000×g for 3 hours. The above results indicated that different hyper-gravity treatments could enhance stress resistance of tomato seedling.

摘要:

选用番茄(Lycopersicon esculentum Mill)种子为试验材料,分别加以1 000×g、 1 500×g、2 000×g各处理1 h、2 h、3 h,观测其种子发芽率和发芽指数、叶绿素含量、根系活力、过氧化氢酶活力、过氧化物酶活力、丙二醛和脯氨酸含量,并与对照进行对比。结果显示,超重力处理后,番茄种子发芽率和发芽指数降低,根系活力及过氧化氢酶和过氧化物酶活力提高,而丙二醛含量降低。经1 000×g各小时处理、1 500×g,1 h、1 500×g,2 h处理番茄叶片叶绿素含量提高;除2 000×g,3 h处理外,番茄幼苗游离脯氨酸含量提高。结果表明超重力处理后番茄的抗逆性明显提高。
